Ohio LinuxFest 2005 Photos - page 1 2
Yesterday (2005-10-01), I attended Ohio LinuxFest 2005 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, OH. The event was a great success with many interesting presentations and 726 registered attendees. I managed to snap a few pictures there. However, please realize that I am not a professional photographer, nor do I really understand how to properly use my new digital camera (my old one broke). Some of the photos are poorly lit or slightly out of focus.
The small pictures are 512x384 and the large pictures are 1024x768 and open in a new window (if you have JavaScript enabled). If you would like the original 7MP images, please email me. I have not posted them here because they are in the range of 1.1 MB to 1.3 MB each.
Also, if you have any more creative captions, or if you can identify any of the unidentified individuals, please email me.

Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse, across the street from the convention center. What is a "Prime Steakhouse" anyway?

The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, also across the street from the convention center. This picture simply doesn't do it justice. The architecture is quite beautiful.

Coffee. On the left is regular and on the right is decaf. Who seriously thought it was a good idea to have decaf at a Linux conference? Isn't that against the law in most places?

Nobody wasted any time in tearing down the exhibition hall at the end of the day.

Just plain funny

Rich Clark, a.k.a., "The Reverend Eggplant." In case you have trouble reading it, the shirt says, "Two hours of broadband to ftp the Linux package, 15¢. CDs to burn the files, $1.00. The knowledge that nothing on your computer is from MicrosoftTM, PRICELESS. There are some operating systems that you don't need money to buy. For everything else there's WindowsTM."

If you can't make it a few hours without getting a fix, you may have a problem.
